Katie Couric...
"It's not just enough to change the players. We've gotta change the game." ~ Obama

Past due, and treason is a good reason.
Can you imagine if Nancy Pelosi had made that statement while she wore the attire that was appropriate, for that country and region?
I think she would have ended up as a rendition casualty. Or worse, under this administration.
Who can say? Who would have come to her defense?

not show respect for those who don't respect us? But of course that doesn't include you, who squeal "Impeach" at every disagreement in the democracy that you have no respect for.
by Sago on Thu May 15, 2008 at 06:30:39 PM PDT
You are snarking right? Honestly, tell me you are.
Democracy is not about me, it is about us and those we claim to support, invade, kill, or represent.
Squeal? I don't squeal, I scream! Impeach the bastard now!
I have so much respect for Democracy, but what Bush has conjured up is not democracy, it is far right wing and extremely ideological authoritarion, and stupid concoctions, along with potions, that he would have all of us believe.
Not you, heh? Check this out! (Any excuse to post it!) And this is an incomplete list, in case you haven't been keeping up.
just so you know:
•I attacked and took over 2 countries.
•I spent the U.S. surplus and bankrupted the US Treasury.

•I dissolved more international treaties than any president in US history.
•I've made my presidency the most secretive and unaccountable of any in US history.
•Members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in US history. (The poorest multimillionaire, Condoleeza Rice, had a Chevron oil tanker named after her for a while.)

•I presided over the biggest corporate stock market fraud in any market in any country in the history of the world.

•The biggest lifetime contributor to my campaign, who is also one of my best friends, presided over one of the largest corporate bankruptcy frauds in world history (Kenneth Lay, former CEO of Enron Corporation).
•I spent more money on polls and focus groups than any president in US history.
•I am the first US president to establish a secret shadow government.

Get over him.

No, I am not snarking and in particular I am not snarking you,(perhaps I am, it sounds like it would be a good thing to do) because you have a psychological problem that is every bit as severe as the Jihadists (which word you would probably ban) and their kind that you apologize for simply because you hate someone like G.W.B., who never took elocution lessons in his life.
You don't have a clue what democracy is about, nor do you have a clue about history. Grow up.
by Sago on Thu May 15, 2008 at 06:54:59 PM PDT
these folks, the Hazara.
Then I may give you an ear, but I serioiusly doubt it.
by panicbean on Thu May 15, 2008 at 07:00:30 PM PDT
Are there such things? My goodness. No one I know or have ever met has taken elocution lessons, and they talk just fine. You attribute his inability to compose a coherent sentence to lack of elocution lessons?
Why on earth didn't he get elocution lessons? God knows his parents could afford them. He still could. Perhaps he doesn't think elocution lessons would help him. Obviously, you disagree. Perhaps you should tell him. I'm sure he would listen to you.

You clearly have trouble understanding attempts at brevity to make a point, not to mention the point. Never mind.
by Sago on Thu May 15, 2008 at 08:30:20 PM PDT
I missed it. Could you point it out, please?
by rgembry on Thu May 15, 2008 at 08:04:24 PM PDT
There was a lot of history in the note you replied to. Much more than a clue.
by rgembry on Thu May 15, 2008 at 08:05:51 PM PDT
The clue was interpretation, but that was such a big word I didn't want to confuse you.
by Sago on Thu May 15, 2008 at 08:21:36 PM PDT
Is that your professional opinion?
by rgembry on Thu May 15, 2008 at 08:06:37 PM PDT
and if I said yes, what would you have to say that is more enlightening? Would "no" allow you to show more intelligence?

This is a reality-based community. You are allowed your own opinions. You are not allowed your own facts and you are not psychic. G-d I hate that shit.
Doesn't John McCain look tired?

George W Shrub-breaker of all the wrong records. Seriously, I don't get how that man ever got elected once, much less twice...right. Daddy's wonderful Supreme Court justices.
At least we only have 7 more months left of this nightmare.

Somehow I get the feeling that every day of your life is a nightmare, and so it will be. Sorry, I am.

opening salvo against Obama by trying to swiftboat him regarding his comments.
Bush is an idiot to think that this will work, what it will do is make me work harder to elect Obama and make sure that Bush is tried for war crimes.

Didn't GWB have a grand daddy who got a whole bunch of business assets seized under the "Trading With the Enemy Act" in 1942?
