Comments: Expand Shrink Hide (Always) | Indented Flat (Always)
From Slashfilm:
One thing I didn't get around to is the color symbolism. This always makes me think of those business professional who believe in "power colors." But most of the superheroes are usually dressed in red or blue (probably as a connection to the American Flag). On the other side, most villains are dressed in green, gray, but especially purple. Why purple? I have no clue. Best guess is that it might have some connection to Tyrian Purple, which has historically been the color of royalty.

I really wish I had time to get into this diary, but I must go to sleep. Let me spasm out a few comments:
You shoulda mentioned Marston's sexual proclivities, particularly his enjoyment of women in bondage situations. I can't remember the details, as I never particularly cared for Wonder Woman.
Color choice was based largely on what would look best in print without a great deal of rasterization.
I'd like to think that we are finally getting to a middle ground in the interpretation of Batman, following One Year Later.
Yglesias probably thinks of the older GLC, as opposed to the current view, which includes the whole 'fear' issue. I'm curious to see how the other colors work out. One interesting thing though is that Sinestro insists he won the war, and has altered the Corps to its foundation. Maybe someone at DC is trying to draw an analogy? I like Green Lantern. I could go over this for an hour or two.
Gotta squeeze Spiderman in there somewhere. (Of course, the title is dead to me now, thank you so much Joe "They Never Got Married" Quesada)

Spiderman & the entire "Brand New Day" storyline might be affected by "Secret Invasion", depending on which version of Spider-Man is the real one. Even if the Spider-Man that landed in the Savage Land is a Skrull, he might have the memories of being with Mary Jane.

Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy and Dr. Doom.
I like the villains. Without them the superheroes woule just be janitors.

I am Spiderman, Hulk and Robin. Typical. Angst-ridden, klutzy, gender-confused.
