An interesting note: if Udall is elected, and Mark Udall is elected in Colorado and Sen. Gordon Smith is re-elected, the Senate will have three first cousins serving together.

if the two Udalls are elected and Smith defeated, there will be as many Mormon Democrats (Udalls and Reid) as Mormon Repubs (Hatch, Bennett, and Crapo).
