I still can't believe that some people can do it without looking at their keyboards.
We can have the Constitution or we can have Bush but, we can't have both.

It's been ages since I was tested, but it was 66wpm when I did. Back when it was on a typewriter, and accuracy was at more of a premium. So 66wpm without errors! I got one of those workbooks with exercises, over 20 years ago, when I first got a computer. There was a period there where I did office temp work in NYC. That typing speed translated directly to more $ per hour.

Typing was the most useful class I ever took in high school.

for so many years until arthritis bent two fingers so bad on my left hand I could no long be accurate. So now it is the index finger of my right hand and the middle finger of my left hand supported by my thumb that does the work. Hard to get used to being so slow and making many mistakes as I go. Thank goodness computers makes it so easy to correct them - if I had to do I on a typewriter I would never get it done!
How's the new chair and keyboard tray working for you LoE?

I'm not sure. And I can't stand not doing anything. So I spent this morning pulling weeds and planting some flowers and herbs. Probably worked it harder than I should have.
But it's definitely NOT bad like it was before the cortisone shot. And I'm not as scared about it either, since it's strictly a soft tissue issue of tendons and muscles. My mom's got arthritis and seems to get a joint replaced damned near every year, including both shoulders - twice.
Anyhow, I am working on improved posture. I have to move the tray over a few inches. But it does help a little, I think. Plus I have my exercises to do.

the cortisone shots can make it feel more healed than it is and you can over do it real easy. Have to remind hubby of that when he gets them. Glad your doing better ;-)

... pushed myself too much today gardening. Just popped some ibuprophen.
But did get 50 or so plants in the ground. There's another little garden needing weeding. And some tomatoes and basil to go in the ground a little later on (we're not safe from frost quite yet).
