Bush took a dump on the ship and everything came out okay. Word was that he had been feeling a little irregular that day as a result of the plane ride and landing.
Mission accomplished.

The thing about the cult republican mindset is that once you remove and denature all objective standards, essentially once you sack the referees, anything can mean anything you want it to mean.
This is how Antonin Scalia can argue with a straight face that torture isn't "cruel or unusual punishment" or that "Mission Accomplished" didn't mean they claimed the war was over.
It's also why all media is "liberal," academia is "biased," judges are "biased," etc.
You have to remove the referees (the press, academia, the judiciary) in order to create your own reality from scratch.
It's why republicanism is basically a Scientology cult. There is no grounding in reality anymore.

And a law that says that any government worker from the prez on down, who is found to violate any of the Ten Commandments while in office, shall be ejected from their position on the spot. You commit adultery? outta here. You Lie? you're gone. You covet? Take a hike.
Think there'd be any Repubs, much less Dems left?
Bush would have never made it to the inauguration, that's a fact.
What's the matter with those so called Christians in Washington? They can't even live up to their own laws, but they think they can tell everyone else they should.

in which he was touting the Christian foundation of American Law, which he proved by saying that there are more courthouses in the land with copies of the Ten Commandments hanging from the wall than churches with the Ten Commandments. As he made his point, I wondered if his "factoid" did not tell us more about churches in this country than it did about courthouses?

but for one tiny thing. Does the word 'anarchy' mean anything to you?

So when I hear people say that mission accomplished is ridiculous becasuse there was no success I disagree - they succeeded incredibly at screwing all of us (but especially the Military).
Then they came for me - and by that time there was nobody left to speak up.

and they really don't care what we think anyway. Plus, they have their own sorry hides to worry about.
