and I'm too old idealistic to have to take in all this crap.
I really don't have a good handle on whether there are ENOUGH engaged people who believe as we do (and is this all Democrats, or just Obama Democrats?) to turn the corporatist/Christianist (= christofascist?) tide back? I don't see Mrs. Clinton doing this, but see a possibility of Mr. Obama doing this.

internally, on the intelligence of the US. There's a wierd, gut intelligence at times...at times, I despair at the school of fish mentality. 2004 was probably my nadir...That took alot out of me...Still I thought Kerry (though a decent man) was a terrible candidate (even before he announced) but I thought that a majority would find ANYONE better than Bush.
At the same time, I believe that the internet and virality is changing the media narrative and that people really understand that (racebaiting aside) things are VERY, VERY wrong with the direction of this country and that the old modalities are NOT working.
