When I saw the DNC's McCain ads. They are superb! Governor Dean deserves not just our support but our unending gratitude for his 50 state strategy that's making Democrats competitive everywhere. between donating to the DNC, renting a hotel room for some out of state Obama folks to use for the next few days here in NC, or contributing directly to Obama.
I got a call from the DNC a month ago and enjoyed bantering with a young man, but ultimately told him that until Obama's the nominee I'm not giving anything to the DNC.
On the other hand...I do love Howard Dean. I think he is really a patriot, and someone who loves his country and his party. If I could give the money directly to him, I wouldn't hesitate.
I'll reconsider and maybe later tonight I'll decide.

THEN CONTRIBUTE TO THE DNC.
The fact is, if you look at the delegate math, Obama already is the nominee. The DNC, I think, is now assuming that Obama is the nominee and has begun focusing on the general election. They've formed a joint fund-raising committee with Obama, and have begun running anti-McCain ads. I don't know what else you want the DNC to do. They can't magically make the remaining primaries occur sooner.
The fact is that, until Clinton drops out of the race, it will be up to the DNC to oppose McCain. Withholding contributions from the DNC because you want the primaries to end is self-defeating.

to support; party building is our long term goal. (Maybe not the Democratic party, but we need to build a stable Progressive infrastructure.) How many of us have raved against corporate America's fixation on the next quarter's P&L, on their obsession with the next month's stock price at the expense of long term planning?
Dr. Dean is building a future for our grandchildren, and holding your breath until you turn blue, unless Dr. Dean gives you a pony isn't in your grand-children's best interest.
Besides, what, really, is the difference between Clinton (D-DLC) and Obama (D-Kumbaya)? Both will have our Corporate Masters at the negotiating table, our CM's will just have different name tags. Howard Dean is working for real change. While he's in charge, the DNC has earned our support.
P.S. Yeah, I miss John Edwards. At least he knew how to get a debate focused on what's important.

Please don't let the traditional media fool you on this one. Short of Obama holding a press conference to admit that he rapes children, he cannot lose.
Rather than listen to the media blather on about how the superdelegates will hand this one to Hillary, let's look at the numbers:
Obama leads in total delegates, 1733 to 1604. There are 691 delegates remaining (283 supers, 408 pledged). If they split the remaining pledged delegates 50/50 (no matter who wins IN or NC, it's gonna be an approximate tie), then Clinton needs to win 70% of the remaining superdelegates. That's just not gonna happen.
Now, consider the fact that since February 10th, Obama has won 73% of the superdelegate endorsements that have come in (117 to 43). There's no reason to believe this pattern won't continue.
Now, a lot of pundits are saying that the Wright controversy fundamentally changes things (which the polls don't demonstrate, btw). Now, the Wright thing first hit around 3/14. Since then, Obama has still received 61% of superdelegate endorsements (36 to 23). Since the Wright thing reemerged last week, there hasn't been a statistically significant number of endorsements, but it's still been about 50/50.
Obama won the nomination. It's simple mathematics.
All my numbers come from Democratic Convention Watch, btw.

McCain say's we are in the Middle East just for Oil.
Watch the video:
My friends, I will have an energy policy that we will be talking about, which will eliminate our dependence on oil from the Middle East that will - that will then prevent us - that will prevent us from having ever to send our young men and women into conflict again in the Middle East.
So in other words, once we are energy independent, those crazy bastards over there in the Middle East can just kill themselves and we can go about not giving two shits just like Darfur and Rowanda.
I can't wait to see Howard Dean beat McCain over the head with this one.
