Comments: Expand Shrink Hide (Always) | Indented Flat (Always)
Most comments are well-informed and very perceptive. That said, one doesn't have to be too intelligent to understand that an attack on Iran would come with dire consequences on so many levels. One can't even express how beneficial it'd be to the Islamic fundamentalist ranks. Ideologically, it'd harden a generation of Muslims solidily behind the backs of the Mullahs in such a way that terrorist incidents, or the threat of terrorist incidents, would exponentially go up across Western nations. It'd confer credibility on the Islamic fundamentalists in such a unique way. Next, one cannot even begin to think about the effect it would have on the global economy -- the supply and price of oil and the corollaries that come with that. Thirdly, logistically, it'd be a nightmare. It'd expand the battle-ground in that region in way that American forces will not be able to handle insofar as the battle remains within conventional realms. Lastly, it's just a bad idea. It is ill-thought out in its totality, and I would even propose that it's a thought that shouldn't be entertained.
