and a military veteran, I want to take this opportunity to express to you how disgusted and appalled I was when your military record was attacked by the right. The only person who can question a person with 3 purple hearts, is a person with 4 purple hearts. Everyone else should salute and shut the fuck up. Thank you for your service and welcome home.

  ...military record was disgusting and appalling. But it would have been just as disgusting coming from someone with 4 purple hearts as it was from someone with 5 deferments.
  
  By the way, as a liberal non-veteran I find the crazed, baseless attacks on McCain's military record floating out there on the fringes of the Internet disgusting and appalling. Hopefully they will fizzle away without further notice.
