Let's smarten up. This is psychological warfare.
The numbers from Zogby, for instance, are very likely calculated to give momentum to HRC's spin machine when they "do much better than anticipated."
HRC and the media ain't gonna like it - but if Barack wins NC tonight - this game is over, done, complete!
But I doubt very much that he'll win by the 14 points or so that Zogby has suggested.
by brentmack on Tue May 06, 2008 at 11:35:23 AM PDT
by between 10-15 points. (the local military "base" grunts and their families will sure be voting for him vs. neocon, "obliterate Iran" Hillary along with the AA and pissed off progressive communities) Indiana will probably go Hillary (gas tax, Limbaugh) by 3-6 points but how does Hillary win while losing at least 10 more delegates? Bizarro times!
I trust Barack Obama.
by mjd in florida on Tue May 06, 2008 at 11:48:49 AM PDT
He should be fine. I'll be concerned if the reverse occurs.
I suspect that, if he wins NC by 10 and HRC wins IN by, say, 5, the SD's will really start to move i his direction, which would really help.
Some men see things as they are and ask why. I see things that never were and ask why not?
by RFK Lives on Tue May 06, 2008 at 12:05:59 PM PDT
if he wins NC by more than she wins IN, we're good.
by DrJeremy on Tue May 06, 2008 at 12:38:52 PM PDT
North Indylina (which has 30 more delegates than Pennsylvania), and finally put this fight to bed. The SD's are already moving towards Senator Obama, and despite the best efforts of the media to sow Clintonian confusion and denial, even the most spineless jellies should be able to recognize that it's over after today.
I'm not AS bitter anymore.
by physic on Tue May 06, 2008 at 12:43:29 PM PDT
Now NC that is a state with all Democratic Statewide office holders, etc.
NC is the only state that counts.
Did you know ever single dollar collected from the Income Tax goes to the Military? (Everything else is paid for by Borrowing and Corporate Taxes.)

More delegates than votes, cuz he wins the democratic areas big time.

by jalenth on Tue May 06, 2008 at 11:50:00 AM PDT
if Zogby endorsed Obama publicly, but I spoke to him about the race (he lives near me) and he definitely seemed to favor him over Clinton, particularly in light of the stuff Bill was pulling left and right. This was about a month ago, but thats my read.
by BRussell on Tue May 06, 2008 at 12:06:00 PM PDT

... but his polls for both states have large blocks of "undecided" voters... more than 10 points in both states, I believe. And the experience thus far has been that those "undecideds" fall HRC's way in overwhelming numbers.
And that presents A LOT of wiggle-room for the spin machine to operate.
by brentmack on Tue May 06, 2008 at 12:09:09 PM PDT
Obama is going to win the nomination no matter how much Hillary, Bill, the media and Rush and his dittoheads stomp their feet. It's over, they just need to wake up and deal with it.

It's happening just as predicted:
10:51 AM -- 'Hardcore' Republicans voting Democrat The two precincts at Broad Ripple Family Center selected Republican Jon Elrod over Democrat Andre Carson in March's special election for U.S. Congress. But by 9 a.m., just 21 voters in one of those precincts had requested Republican ballots -- out of 168 cast. Amid heavy turnout, Republicans appeared to be crossing over in droves today in Marion County and suburban counties, where fewer Republican voters might impact down-ticket primary races.

Some of them will be voters who sincerely prefer one or the other Democratic candidate. And a lot will be people simply out to screw us up by supporting Hillary.
John McCain's Court will overturn Roe; don't kid yourself.

it isn't the exit polls that are wrong. It is the actual vote totals that are fixed wrong and then the exit polls are adjusted to fit the actuals.
Why John W. McCain is an unstable, crazy, angry, clueless, hypocritical, lying, pandering douche.

I think this is the case. For decades the exit polls were dependable, as soon as 'electronic voting' was begun - suddenly they are - O woopsie ! broken. hmph

Besides, I'm smarter than every pundit/"journalist" asshole on TV, so watching them only makes me feel dumber.
I'll catch the results before I go to bed.
