We were promised vote Dem in 2006 and everything will change.  Yes, right.  Nothing happened.  Same in 2008.

Deb Pryce (Oh-15) took DOWN photos of herself with Bush! Well, now Betty Sutton is the congresswoman from Oh-13 (ranked by many groups the most progressive congressperson from Ohio) and soon, if all goes as it seems to be going, Mary Jo Kilroy will assume Deb Pryce's seat. (She came within about 1,000 votes of doing so last time, scaring Pryce so much she is retiring).

Of the 11 Republican-held seats in Ohio at least six are on some level competitive. Of the seven Democratic-held seats, none are; five lack a GOP candidate of even minimal competitiveness. Bonehead did a pretty bad job of recruiting in his own state. The GOP was once so sure it could retake Oh-18 after Zack Space's win in 2006, helped by the fact that the previous Republican holder of the seat went to jail. But Space has a weak opponent with about $35,000 raised; Space has about a million. Tough luck, GOP. Excuse me while I don't cry.
