There are groups, and there are groups. Groups are societal constructs. Sometimes it's imposed, sometimes it's defined by group members but when one says, Who has ever heard of a group that has the same political beliefs 90 percent of the time, yuou simply have to look at the groups. Racial groups, not too often, because race is a societal construct lumping together people by skin color. Other groups...religious, for example...often DO have ninety percent of the same political beliefs. I suspect orthodox jews, or fundamentalist mormons, or Bahai's, or other small coherent self defined groups, have such poltical coherence too.
So all one has to do is consider whether blacks share the sort of common experiences and backgrounds that would lead to such political coherence.
The answer is, no, since the 90 percent referred to is only of dem party voters. The black republicans aren't showing up at all.
But still, blacks are showing that they back Obama, but the shared history of discrimination... and the shared rejection by HRC 08....have worked to unite them on ONE NARROW ISSUE....Barack. That's not unusual or wrong, any more than one would expect catholics to line up against abortion or jews to line up for Israel. What's strange is to see the embrace of lining up against blacks as part of the shared heritage of Hillary supporters. Strange because they shouldn't be embracing it on a moral ground.
It's a people-powered movement of individuals. So just say it yourself and stop calling on Obama to be your puppet.
