There is a mistake in my story. Bush and Moon appeared together at Texas A & M, not in Washington DC. I didn't actually get the story from John Gorenfeld's post at Talk2Action (if I had, ironically, I would have gotten the location right), but John is THE source of information on Moon and I cannot recommend his new book, Bad Moon Rising, strongly enough. And if you aren't reading Talk2Action, you certainly ought to be. With John, Fred Clarkson, Chris Rodda and many others posting there, it is an indispensable source of information on the religious right.
