If I may -- this diary would be better if you would conceptually link in some kind of way the two articles you're using quotes from.

Why have you used both these articles in juxtaposition? What in your mind links them? Why is that interesting and worthwhile for us to know (yes, I'm a professor, and am in teacher mode right now).

As it is, you just have given us two different articles to look at.

The effect seems to be that right now people are picking up on the first article and ignoring the Herbert piece, which actually says something. You could examine the first article from a point of view and then link it to the reason you picked up on Herberts column, etc.

I hope you take this as constructive advice. I think the Herbert column is important and worth spreading the word about.

Right now, this is just 2 articles you want us to see, but I'm not sure about your thought process.
