It's scary. Our big sign out by the road says "Home for the Liberal Religious Spirit". And there is a rainbow on it as well, indicating we are welcoming to members of the GLBT community. I helped design the sign several years ago and raised the $$ to get it built.
Now I wonder if it's just an advertisement: "LIBRULS WITHIN" and some other winger kook will try to eliminate us too...

Wasn't it the Dutch king that wore a yellow armband during the German Occupation of WWII? In a better world, other denominations would use this time to begin discussions of their own discriminatory policies. I'm embarrassed for America that the news seeems to have dropped this story because it was too hard to explain what a liberal religion was.

King Christian X. Great story. I don't think the loss of press attention has much of an agenda behind it; there are just too many other atrocities going on. Like the guy that shot those swimmers in Wisconsin.
