    (for one, the 38D/36R sample is a bit generous to the Republicans)

    Hulshof and Steelman are basically the only ones on TV and they're tearing each other apart. Once that's decided, Nixon probably goes back to the mid-50s range that he was in before.

      which makes some of the wingers on cable seem especially nutty as they demand that if Obama is not up by 20% now, he does not have a chance of winning. However, a 20% lead would mean that McCain would be stuck in 30% territory or GWB Country.

      Has any presidential candidate ever been that low at this point in a campaign?  Also the talking heads also seem to be completely ignorant of the electoral college.
