And he's about the last person I want to see as our VP candidate. I guess Joe Lieberman would rank lower, but not by much.
Bayh doesn't have a progressive bone in his body. He's a DLC guy. A Hillary guy. A GOP-lite guy. A centrist who will play it safe, take no chances, and inspire no one.
We already know what this campaign is going to be about -- attacks against Barack Obama. He needs an utterly relentless VP candidate who will shred the GOP and call them on their bullshit. Somebody like Wes Clark. Or Joe Biden.
Bayh just isn't it.
I'll be incredibly disappointed if Obama goes this way. He'll be playing not to lose instead of playing to win.

112 out of 119 times in his career. That's not exactly a corporate voting record.

Barbara Lee or Dennis Kuchinich. And according to some on the far left only Democrats who vote like them can be real Democrats.

if it's Bayh - that will be the single most disappointing moment in this entire campaign for me - larger than any loss in the primary.
Obama, or McCain

Oh please.
The suggestion that Bayh will get the nod makes me want to go take a nap, then have a warm bath... then go to bed early.
But FISA was vastly worse.
Bayh's biggest sin is that he's as inspiring to most of us as, oh... oatmeal. There are worse choices--like Powell or Hagel, just for starters. Or HRC herself.

Bayh is uninspiring and too safe a pick, since it doesn't seem to be in his character to be an attack dog. That's ok, you want an even tempered President. It's just that nice guys don't win in American elections anymore. Obama needs a tough guy..Wes Clark, Bill Richardson, or Joe Biden.
"Exxon" John McCain- putting Big Oil first.

Mondale was a solid progressive. Damn solid.
Bayh is just another Bourbon Democrat - Republican-lite. A true blue dog.
To a Democrat, "democracy" means "free elections." To a Republican, "free markets."
