  •  I am an eternal optimist. (8+ / 0-)

Even when I am at my lowest points, I can always find blessings to count. I have been very, very lucky; by the accident of my birth to a family that could and would care for me; for having wonderful friends; even in this time when I am unemployed (though hopefully not for too much longer) I have so much to be grateful for.

I have never earned more than 33K a year at a job. I am 41. I have devoted 25 years to working for the church as a musician, and getting the best musical education possible on two continents. Another thing to be grateful for. I have also devoted my life to helping those less fortunate--not just by donating a little money here or there, but by feeding, clothing, and indeed bathing folks who needed it.

"Whatsoever you do unto the least of them, you do unto me".

Oh, how short I have fallen of that! But, I try my best to live by it.

    In memory of Tyler Clementi.
