Rep. Joe Barton lost more than $154,000 on investments of his campaign funds during the last three months, according to a CQ MoneyLine study of campaign finance reports. The Texas Republican’s campaign fund losses are due in part to drops in energy company stocks, including BP.

So sitting congressmembers, including the once (and possibly future) Chair of the House Energy committee, can not only take "campaign funds" from BP and other corporations (their PACs) they oversee. They can then take those funds and buy stock in those companies. Stock they buy from existing shareholders, like the executives of BP.

How can we possibly allow this circus to go on? It's a cesspool of corruption!
