    is the first McD product I've ever craved.  It has sugar, sure, but it isn't that unhealthy. Sorry e'buddy, I gotta have my smoothie.

      there are limits on the number of grams of sugar per day - it's not an absolute rejection of sugar.

      But low glycemic index foods do have long term very bad effects.

      You are probably OK with less than 25g of sugar per day, best with less than 15.  The problem is that so many Americans concume about 50-60 g per day or even more.

      It is probably better and cheaper to make your own milkshakes from natural ice cream and fruit juice concentrate and vanilla.
