    •  Gas prices (14+ / 0-)
My goodness...Thurs. there was an article in the LA Times that gas may go up to $3/gal this summer.  It seems the gas stations around here decided that meant gas prices MUST go up NOW.  I filled up my tank on Thurs. for $2.79/gal (premium) and now all the Chevron's around here are selling it for $3.35/gal with regular at $3.o5/gal.  I'm so in the wrong business.

that gas prices will go to 4 dollars within a year if not higher. Some analysts were on TV a few months ago predicting we will someday long for 3.00 a gallon gas prices. I see no relief in sight and it seems these high prices are here to stay..unless someone has heard differently.

The only way to wean us off our penchant for huge cars and SUV's is to make them too expensive too drive.

I know it will hurt, but it's a necessary evil.

          •  not the way to do it (0+ / 0-)

yeah, it's great that we pay $3, soon $4.

heck, let's jump it up to $20 a gallon! yeahhh, it's a conservation party!

that'll teach us ordinary citizens that we should have take our own initiative and developed chyrstallic fusion without help of the government or private sectors!

because as we know, as citizens, we really do hold all the power. each election we have such a varied choice of candidates, all with amazingly different views, and some with the immediate answers to every problem our nation faces.

            that is all snark.

your comment really pisses me off.

money is power. power is politics. politics is money. politics is power.  power is money. et cetera.

until there is a consensus among those of the wealthiest, who finance the politicians or ARE the politicians, that this nation is going to focus primarily on solvingour energy crises, it won't really happen.

so who cares if gas prices go way up, and the working poor become the working poor. they should have done a better job electing all the candidatesin the past who have made their primary campaign promise a promise of developing new energy sources. screw everyone who was born rural, and has no choice but to commute to work. they should have voted smarter. screw everyone who cannot afford gas. yeah!  let's let the gas prices rocket right up!  yeeehah! let's make it so only the rich can drive, and let everyone else suffer for the next 10 or 20 years until a mass-produced, affordable alternative exists!

yeah, i hate oil so much I want gas prices to be over $100 per gallon by summer. SCREW EVERYONE! this is the greatest thing that could ever happen!

let the pain soak in! let the people who cannot afford a new hybrid suck it up. hell, it'll hurt, but only when the children don't have any food and it feels like their little stomachs are going to rip apart inside their bodies. and their tortorous little screams will hurt our ears a bit, but that is a little price to pay as long as we can watch gas prices keep rocketing higher and higher!  what's a little pain?

these gas prices are SO AWESOME. now when i want to chain myself to my favorite tree to stop it from getting cut down i can walk the 70 miles to get to it. screw everyone who cannot affordgas, who thus cannot afford to work, thus who cannot eat, thus who cannot live in a house.  screw them.

screw them for living in a house that gets clean water. because they used gasoline! if they never used gasoline, they wouldn't be in this situation to begin with. they had a multitude of choices to use, thanks to our nation's wonderful energy policy, but no, they chose oil. so this is so awesome that gas prices are rising faster than waters after a damn break. sure, not being able to drive so not being able to workso not being able to keep their house so no longer having clean water may cause disease, but that's just a little pain!

gas prices risig = pain for the people who should have used all those other energy choices available to them, which are all so affordable to the average person, and which are all around each of those persons everywhere, and besides there have been so many politicians to vote for who helped reinvent our energy supplies, and thus these people are bringing on the pain themselves! the only people who won't feel the pain are the gas-guzzling wealthy and that huge majority of society that has access to hydrogen cars, water powered tanker flight cars, and teleportation devices.

your comment, as i said, really pisses me off. there are better ways to develop new sources of energy than hurting individual citizens who really have never had any choice about how our nation conducts its energy policies. don't be such an asshole.

      I fucking love it!

Watching this dumb bastard squirm in the face of Nixonian poll numbers and a pitbull-media onslaught just brings tears to my eys.

      Happy Easter Mr. Rodgers!
