Oh, I know, it goes against everything you've ever heard!, but he HAS done things to improve people's lives.  Well, mine anyway...

"Oh, I know, it goes against everything you've ever heard!"

No, it goes against what I and a number of other progressives that work for and within state government see on a daily basis.

As posted up-thread, there will be plenty of time for more extensive Blago diaries as we approach November.  I am hoping the conviction of Ryan will scare some of the cronies in Blago's admin shitless, and perhaps get some housecleaning done that may result in an administration I can vote for.

But with "Official A" in Fitz's crosshairs ... continual fuck-ups like the appointment of one of Farakhan's people to the "Hate Crimes" commission [which has done nothing since Blago got elected]... the periodic frog-marching of high-level gov't employees for Shackman & other hiring violations {oh, let's not forget screwing veterans by bypassing state hiring and directly appointing some hires in the middle of the night]... weeekly revelations of hires "coincidentally" related to big campaign contibutors...putting the state budget even worse in the red by wracking up deferred pension payments ... probably resulting in yet another lowering of Illinois' bond rating like what happened last weekend ...

Let's say I am 'hoping', but not particualrly 'hopeful'.

Those who fail to learn from history...are invited to submit an application for a position in the Bush administration.
