"Figured that someone had leaked the phone numbers" ?

The phones jammed in NH were given out to the elderly, disabled and poor that needed rides to get to the polling places. So these phone numbers were 'public record' there were handbills, and I believe I even remember hearing a few radio ads myself, with the numbers on them.

The crime wasn't leaking the phone numbers.

The crime was jamming the phone lines - if that is done across state lines, it's a Federal crime. And that is exactly what happened.

The crime was compounded by conspiracy; conspiracy to commit the crime, and coordinate it.

The very highest levels of the NH GOP Party do not appear to have much respect for law; only one person knew enough that this was wrong, and put a stop to it.
