to admit error when there is none.  The Sierra Club targets issues; that's not the same as a scorecard.  The LCV issues a scorecard for the environmental movement.  That's all I've been trying to point out.  That's not nonsense, vitriol or preening.

And, please, spare me the lectures about courtesy.  You were the one who labeled me "absurd" to begin with.

Look, we both want Chafee to be defeated and we both know that the only way there will be a Democratic Senate in '07 is through Rhode Island.  But on this one issue, the point I've been trying to make is that simply having a Democratic majority won't guarantee us progressive environmental legislation.  There are too many DINOs in our caucus, and you and Kos consistently ignore them or defend them, with the exception of Lieberman.  Ben Nelson votes with the other Democrats less than Chafee does, and yet everyone makes excuses for him.

If everyone is so hot to get rid of Chafee, who has a 78% lifetime pro-environment voting record, then why not get rid of Nelson, who not only has a lousy voting record on the environment, but who has abandoned us on every important judicial nominee vote since Bush took office?

Let's defeat as many Republicans as we can, but it matters which Democrats we put in their place.  That's all I've been saying.
