    a potential violation of the rule of law and of the constitutional confines in the process of doing so.

    Sound pretty big need to me, but politically the heat needs to be turned on using the right arguments for anything to happen. If the Dems are wishy-washy then they'll lose the argument in the face of the severe media bias.

      That vacuous, self-rightous semi-accusation freqently lobbed by the knuckle-dragging crowd with regard to opposition to illegal spying/search/intrusion: If you have nothing to hide you shouldn't be worried about Big Brother reading your mail.
      This is the perfect turn of the table-if there is nothing illegal going on, then they shouldn't have any problem with a few loyal American DOJ lawyers making sure everything is on the up-and-up.
      In fact, isn't denying these loyal public servants security clearances (to make sure the GWOT is adhering to bedrock American values) tantamount to questioning their patriotism?  How dare they...
