    Does anyone else think AT & T and Verizon's cooperation with this program is related to their efforts to "privatize" the internet?

    These are the two big guns fighting to end net nutrality, and they just happen to be rolling over for the government on this issue?

    I'm seeing a quid pro quo here.  The telecoms give the government what they want and in return the government gives them the legislation they want for the internet.

      I was thinking that myself. Why would be telecoms stick their necks out like this for the gov? I mean, couldn't this mean some serious and expensive legal problems for them in civil court? I think they were thinking that if they did this they might get a boost with in their efforts to crush those pesky internets...
