        ...they sure get you buy the balls. Your choice comes down to (1) Make a stand and stay in the dark ages, or (2) Join the rest of society and pay a company that has your worst interests in mind.

        OK, now you know why us activist types have been screaming against the corporate consolodation in these markets.

        Yes, you only have a small handful of choices.  And yes they all suck.  

        And, that's what exactly these companies asked the government to set up, and its what our lovely government willingly set up for them.

        BTW, a lot of this was set up in the '96 Telecom bill that that great defender of the average America, Bill Clinton, signed into law.

        If back in '96 if you'd had big money to go sleep in the Lincoln bedroom, then you could have told Bill what you think of this.
