Too bad some of those massive oil profits couldn't be put into the national power infrastructure. If that is the big hurtle, then work on that first.

    •  Bit off IMO (0+ / 0-)

would support if the cash comes from removing all subsidies, special tax breaks etc.  Or even raising taxes on crude.

but expecting one industry to invest in another is a bit hopeful.  Oil is mostly transportation.  Electricity is more fixed location uses until battery powered vehicles are improved.

      means are the ends

to redirect a portion of our oil consumption toward building an alt energy infrastructure while we still have "cheap" oil..

anything we can do in Texas to help you out there, please let us know.

we have to get Pombo OUT - now with your energy expertise, it's just obvious the country needs you that much more.

get rid of a negative AND vot in a positive.  can't ask for anything more.

        Pombo.  It's the name...POMBO
Can I tell you anymore how much this name means to the central valley? Just say the name!! Hell...My exhusband and brothers went to high school with the dude.  The name is ingrained in the community.  The hard core community which encompasses Tracy and up  through Lodi.  People who don't pay attention and vote on a whim and what they see that looks familiar. Now, I now this blog is good...
But THOSE are the the people that we need to contact and connect with.

I must be seeing red tonight.  sorry for all my typos.  I'm going to Pombo's "debate" tommorrow night with McKlosky which I'm very suprised he's doing it. I wouldn't be suprised if he backed out at the last minute.  We'll see.
