    Okay, now I need to know who he is -- or at least, what name he publishes under. I buy a lot of science fiction. This is not a person I'd want to be getting royalties from my purchases.

    Hmm. Not Orson Scott Card, I'm pretty sure; he's a different kind of objectionable. S.M. Stirling, perhaps...? The attitudes seem to match, but I'm just guessing. I'd really like to know for sure.

      Apparently, per someone downthread, Vox Day is Theodore Beal, who I've never heard of despite having read quite a bit of SF.

      Even if that's not true, this writing is out of character for both Card and Stirling. It's closer to Stirling, but even he isn't quite that loopy.

        I've never heard of Theodore Beal either. Okay, if that's true, I guess there's no risk, then. And you're right, Stirling does do a better job of making unpleasant views sound plausible.
