Great work.  I and a few others have been banging this Fake Badge Story drum for three days with little interest here.  They (the war profiteers and their neocon lackeys) are doing it again. This is how they get their freakin' wars, whether it be incubator babies or yellowcake or identity badges - they make shit up that enrages people or scares the shit out of them.  They know it is pure bullshit.  They also know it just has to get out there to work.  And it already has, thanks to Drudge and FOX and other unsrupulous media outlets.  It's too late on this one.  Ask the average Joe two weeks from now and he will say Iran forces Christians to wear markers, no matter how well or often the story is debunked.  We need to expose the process, as LondonYank has here.  Bravo.

and I can't prove it at all, (but that's why WBTC is such a good project) that this is not even the first time in recent years that they tried to float a badge story. I didn't follow it much this time because I figured that if it was true I'd soon be seeing actual photos, and I hadn't seen any, and also, because it seems like I had heard this before once, and it died out quietly. I can't find sources now because eveything links to the newest "news."    And by the way, along the lines of other sources that I can't get a grip on to post, somewhere out there is a clip from the Larry King show from 1992-3?) in which John McCain rises up and says to George H W Bush, "you know all that time during the campaign when you kept saying I was lying? Well I WAS!" At that point I thought he was going to give GHWB the Rove salute and stomp off stage, but I can't remember how it ended. Anyway, for future reference, that video bite was delicious. How does one get a hold of something like that?
