I'd recommend giving it priority to help get it out more widely now, when it counts the most.

The Auburn Journal endorsed Holmes over Doolittle in the Republican primary. The Auburn Journal is owned by Gold Country Media which publishes a newspaper in all of Doolittle's most populated cities. It will be interesting to see how the other cities follow or not. I was surprised they did this, I thought they were under Doolittle's thumb. I am sure they have gotten a lot of flack for doing this.

I did a quick look and Fox News reported on Bilbray's travels with Jack (emphasis added):

He credited the numerous trips he arranged to the islands for fending off the new labor rules and other federal oversight that the Clinton administration and some congressional Democrats were seeking.

"There is no doubt that trips to the CNMI (islands) are one of the most effective ways to build permanent friends on the Hill and among policymakers in Washington," the firm wrote the island government in a lobbying plan in February 1998.

Some of the lawmakers Abramoff arranged to travel to the islands included Reps. Dana Rohrabacher and Brian Bilbray, both California Republicans, and Ralph Hall, a Texas Democrat.

I'm sure there is more to this story. Back in 1998 Bilbray was a member of the Commerce Committee, which had jurisdiction over several issues important to the Tan Family and their many business interests from sweatshops to factory fishing to human trafficking.

I'm sure Brian learned how he could help on his CNMI visit...
