    endorsement from the Conservative Party -- isn't she socially liberal? Or does the Conservative Party accept social liberalism in NY?

      The Senate has a more direct impact on social policy that includes abortion (you know, what with the confirming of the judges and all) while State Attorney General has less of an effect. And considering that abortion is unlikely to be outlawed in NYS, even if Roe vs. Wade is overturned, entrusting a pro-choice Attorney General is not a big risk for the NYS Conservatives.

      Just middle of the road. There doesn't seem to be any philosophy to it. The middle she's in is the fruit of liberalism but she doesn't have any awareness of that debt, I'd wager.
