    Thanks for the reminder that a lot of "regular" people got badly hurt by the actions of some greedy high-fliers. (Yes, greed and bad actors at Andersen too.)
    I remember coverage of workers at Enron, secretaries, recent retirees and the terrible personal outcomes for all of them financially; and major career set-backs for many. And like the stone in the pond, the ripples just spread. Office supply businesses, florists, auto leasing companies. Enron was so huge in Houston that it was a major chunk of business for many other kinds of firms, and their employees, and etc.
