    once the Arthur Andersen/Andersen Consulting split in the late 90's, Arthur Andersen got into the "business consulting" business, and started to compete with Andersen Consulting (then Accenture) and that led to some pushing of the envelope on the consulting side.

    That, in my mind, was the beginning of the end for Arthur Andersen and the other Big accounting firms.  They should not be allowed to do business consulting.  Plain and simple.
