Jeers to the reason for this day and those that fail to understand it's sanctity.  This day is not just a day to honor our fallen, it is also to remind us for what they sacrificed, and to weigh that sacrifice carefully before we engage in such endeavors in the future.

Cheers to Doggie269.  You did good, brother.

Cheers(?) to Bob/bettes and Irregulars (who seem more Irregular than usual).  Guess I wasn't the only one to sleep in.

Cheers to survival.  I have never:

Lost a family member to war, except maybe an Uncle.  He came back from Vietnam, but I think he's been lost ever since.
Lost a friend to war.  But I spent a year of emotional agony the year that one of them was in Iraq.  It almost ripped me apart when he told me he was trying to go back.  I didn't want to spend another year shaking everytime I heard a soldier died, waiting for his mother or brother to call me.
Served in war.  But that doesn't mean I appreciate the cost any less.

Cheers/Jeers to questionable actions.  Someone, who remain nameless (apologies to user Nameless), invaded a certain thread last night, with some outrareous statements.  Cheers to him that he seemed to understand his faux pas in the end.

I know I had more, but I'm to get unexpected visitors and got to go.  Salute!

When I must guard my thoughts, feelings and words, lest I be unpatriotic...then my country is lost
