...now I'm curious as to whether or not anyone has compiled some sort of a Timeline of dKos.  From the founding, to the Scoop switchover, to the Deaniac Days, the "Screw 'Em" Scrap, the heady days of Election 2004, etc., etc. there's a lot of history here.

    •  Yes, there is; and I would love to know more (0+ / 0-)

of it.   I can during the Election 2004 stage so I missed a lot.  Plus I was so intimidated by this place when I came that I didn't participate for a while.  I should check my history and see what my first post was.

...you've been here for most of the history when stuff was really hopping.

The pre-scoop days were really embryonic.  It wasn't until the scoop switchover and the Dean campaign that things kind of took off, and the content and community has been getting richer ever since.

The Dean campaign provided quite a growth stimulus, as the community really first started testing its wings by defending Howard from media attacks.  But all that really matured as election 2004 went on.

Another big event, of course, was the election itself and the election post-mortem, when the community seemed to get stuck for a couple of weeks on election fraud issues.  It sure pulled out of it, though.

elections.  It was if I actually could influence something.   Even though I was here, I think I was too new and stupid to really understand the dynamics.

Don't forget that one in the history of DKos.  It was SusanG's infamous questioning within a diary posted here that nailed Jeff Gannon/Guckert as the fraud he was/is.

It also was the impetus for ePluribus Media:

      We were called Propagannon originally.

Lots of brain power here at this site.
