  •  This might seem like a stupid question (0+ / 0-)

but who is suppling all the various militias with weapons? Where did the weapons originate from? Who are the manufacturers?

      •  Is that weapon from the coldwar (0+ / 0-)

that might have been stolden or recently manufactured. Do we know where all the guns and bombs are coming from. I have hear Iran...but I don't trust MSM.

          1. when we entered Iraq and disbanded their existing forces, those arms had to go somewhere.
          1.  The MSM is probably at least partly correct on this one.  The weapons, particularly the Strela, are probably Russian or Chinese in origin, but as RichM indicated above, they are being filtered through Iran.

Is the new Cambodia.  I am not saying that the Iranian government is actively selling military equipment to the Sunni insurgency.  I am saying that they are probably turning a blind eye to the weapons being poured over their boarder into Iraq.  The boarder is about the size of Texas's boarder to Mexico.  It is in the Iranian's best interest to keep the US army bogged down in its neighbor's back yard.  With the oil money flowing around, there is plenty of cash to make these trades.

It is also possible that these weapons are coming from Saudi Arabia or even from Turkey.

Top levels of the Mil still don't believe this is happening!?

Iraq has been planning this since 1991.

Move all weaponry into homes/underground around an area the size of Texas.

Iraqis started with all the weaponry they needed
      for a 10 year slugfest.

All they need to do is not lose and it's game over
      for the Empire.

      Then the scorecard will read:

Superpowers 0  Insurgents 6 in the last 50 years *

      * Only Argueable Exception Malaya/UK/Sir Harold Briggs
