    ...and list them somewhere

Maybe in a follow up diary

I wish I had found them all and posted them as links

    •  You did a good job and a good service. (5+ / 0-)

Part of being part of the community is accepting that it isn't like academics -- you don't have to be that rigorous -- the best stuff will likely get propelled upwards.  It is during that "loft and spread" phase that the message gets "rigorized".  Down here in the Puffing Pit  :-) we are much better served by good writing and clear thinking (somewhat linked, no?), than by exacting research.  When you have something to say, say it well, publish it, and move on to the next intersection of your knowledge and passion.  In short, to you and all other contributors, keep up the good work.

I wish more members had that attitude, instead of the "that was diaried 3 weeks ago, asshole!" thing that keeps me from wasting my time on diaries.

Actually some of the people who did do some diaries that are related to this one, did post, but most of them were not mad at all, just kind of scrathing their head good-naturedly and wondering why people are all of the sudden interested now.

Diaries are a crap-shoot, and for them to be read by a large numbre of people depends on many factors beyond the diarist's control.

Thanks for your comment and for reading my diary.

... the new-membership rate.  A lot of people come by (some of whom don't register for months, if at all) with an incipient progressive (liberal, Kossack, reality-based) outlook.  Those people arrive like thirsty travelers, and we do them and ourselves an injustice to scold them for not having drunk the clear water :-) last week or the week before.

Knives have both a blade and a handle.  DKos is both a sharp self-honing edge carving the future of the progressive (etc. etc.) movement, and a rock maple handle for those looking for something solid to grab onto.  We do well to constantly work on each end of this magnificent, world-changing tool.
