isn't democracy, any more than assigning votes by the dollar is. The Democrats can win elections in a dollar-dominated political world by "respecting rich America's concerns", but that's oligarchy, not democracy.

'Tis an up-is-down Bizarro world, where killing pregnant women is "pro-life", hate amendments are "civil-rights legislation", and letting the minority tell the majority what to do is "listening to the will of the (rural-only, please) American people".

You've had several years of a party that actually does what you say the Democrats should do. Enjoying it?

    •  Republicans don't respect rural concerns (0+ / 0-)

And not all rural people are as you paint them.

But there are real issues that rural people have that Democrats - who tend to be from cities - totally miss out of ignorance and for no good reason.

Not clear to me at all that it's a Dem vs. Rural problem.

Do big city Republicans understand rural people any better then big city Democrats? Hardly, imo.
