Even though they're not happy with Bilbray.

Don't take my bluntness and attitude personally-the best weapon for the Democrats is the unvarnished truth, and the truth usually hurts.

    •  That's the problem - (0+ / 0-)

the immigration issue galvanizes the right wingnuts. Every time that Busby talked about it, more right wingers decided to vote. And they are not stupid enough to vote for the third party candidate.

Busby was pretty smart in talking up McCain's bill, since the moderate Republicans in the district who do not take an anti-immigrant stand may vote for Busby instead of Billbray, but that is only 2 votes.

    •  Oh god (0+ / 0-)

Can't we put this dog to sleep already? The democratic strategy should not be to have so few actual ideas that we won't offend the Republican voters and "rally them to the polls" or "energize the base" or whatever HOGWASH everyone keeps huffing on about.

Oh you can't appear to take a position on abortion or Iraq or gays or guns or terrorists or else it'll energize the republicans to go vote! Oh no!
