  •  'Rampant Corruption' (16+ / 0-)

There needs to be more discussion of what the challenges to development are and how they need to be addressed.

I think ultimately it's US foreign policy to keep Mexico and the rest of latin america weak and dependent. I think that's a big national security mistake.

So let me throw the national security angle in there. Best that we trade with solid neighbors than with unpredictable powers a world away, in my opinion.

Anyway, the thrust of your argument is a great one.

successful.  Corruption is a real problem.  But we have the knowledge how to do this.  If we can solve the Ansokia Valley in Ethiopia with "Regenerative Science" and "Regenerative Agriculture", we can turn Mexico around too.

Here's what regenerative specialists did in the Ansokia Valley:

I work in regeneration, if anyone would like to know more about it.

      •  Local Problems (0+ / 0-)

Local problems need local solutions, we can not take methods and apply them blinded in an assumtion that they will work.  Serious anthropological studies need to be undertaken to effective "develop" a region with out creating social imbalances usually caused by "betting on the strong".  Is modernizing Mexico really the solution?  Zapatismo argues that it isn't.

        •  I agree with you. Watch for my diary tomorrow (0+ / 0-)

To see how the Regenerative Zone Method works.  The locals work out their own Zone Plan and then implement it themselves, using the youth as well as others to power the regeneration work needed.

Each region typically has an eco-spirituality that can be employed to connect with.

This is not modernizing Mexico, it is restoring lost whole sectors, such as corn and coffee, while preserving the culture.

          Watch tomorrow.
