  •  You could help me... (0+ / 0-) a very specific way.  I'd like pictures of the Pombo Feed Lot.  And am also interested in one of the businesses listed on Pombo's annual Personal Financial Disclosures, with the name Pombo Ranch Estates.  Sounds like the name of a real estate development, rather than an actual ranch.  Yet Pombo always portrays himself as a rancher.  I suspect he's just as much in the business of converting ranch land to real estate developments.  Would love to have pictures to use to illustrate.  Interested?  Anyone else interested?

    •  you are right (0+ / 0-)

      from the stockton record

While Pombo relies on his congressional salary to pay the bills, his assets are far larger.

He is a partner in Pombo Ranch Estates, a real estate venture worth $250,000 to $500,000 to him. He also is a partner in his family's ranch, of which his share is $50,000 to $100,000.

Pombo's wife, Annette, works for his re-election campaign as a "fund-raising consultant." She earned $39,484 in salary and expenses in 2005 and has received $183,951 in salary and reimbursed expenses since 2003, according to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission.

Annette Pombo also owns a rental property in Tracy worth between $250,000 and $500,000, according to the federal report.

Pombo is not a rancher.  It's all a real estate company.  I can get you pictures Land of E.  I live right down the block.  And as Spit said, further on down in this thread

though I will add that CA-11 is in no way the same kind of wingnut area as CA-50. It's a different shade of red, with a combination of many different "types" of republican. It's a really weird district, IMO -- I'm still never sure how to characterize it, and I grew up there and still live very close.

    •  Feed lot? (0+ / 0-)

Do you know where it's located?

      •  Gonna have to look this stuff up... (0+ / 0-)
