They could never swift-boat this guy, he's a great man. Go John. If for no other reason, except the Republicans don't want him to run. He will beat the pants off of any a-hole they have as a candidate.

of court transcripts to quote out of context.  Oh, he'll be swiftboated and it will be ugly.

        •  of course. (2+ / 0-)

he'll be swiftboated and it will be ugly.

That applies to all the contenders except Hillary.  For her you'd have to switch the "he'll" to "she'll".

They will attack. It's all they know how to do.  It's impossible to pick a candidate they won't attack.  We just have to learn how to counter it.  It's that simple.

Pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space because there's bugger all down here on Earth.

        •  Don't worry. (0+ / 0-)

Those courtroom transcripts will do nothing but help John Edwards.

Because in every transcript Edwards will be there fighting for some working person who got his arm cut off because the doctor read the chart wrong.  Or something similar.

I don't necessarily think Edwards ought to be the nominee.  I just don't think there's going to be any traction for the Republicans from Edwards' transcripts.

They will do better just saying "trial lawyer."

got chops to identify ALL THE PREEMPTIVE LEGISLATION that the repub congress has enacted to dessimate states rights over the last 5 years.

IA straw poll indicates this: domestic trouble is top priority to (really) red states.

GOP gonna be two kinds of crazy in '06

which is more unionized than most states in the region.  Edward's support of unions is a bigger plus for him than his "trial lawyers" creds.

and two/one america narrative will work hard for him '06-'08 than warner's whatever. who can deny edwards was "radical" labor in '04 compared to kerry or anyone besides kucinich? edwards' c.v. is on the ropes, while "financier" warner is not even in the same arena.

whosoever mocks the authenticity of the collective consciousness shall lose.

now, both got problems, quite apart from the s/hillary school of intel, concerning foreign policy priorities. edwards has left a trail of cold (war) doo doo from a totally excellent adventure with kemp. warner's on another planet, as observed above. question remains: which of them is the better at slalom on the curve? don't expect MSM tutoring; voters must challenge these students.

whosoever tips a flag shall lose.

as for IA, you clearly believe your town or county swings "liberal". i'm not challenging that. but the maps record another story in '04. (bentliberal has much more to say about MSM mythology; my take is here). in any event, IA and NH primaries don't get their juice by predicting democratic carry, do they? hopefully, you'll be out there wrangling dems and wringing juice from repub swingers in whatever private or public capacity at your disposal.

        •  he's not a whoos, (0+ / 0-)

he'll get uglier. I can't wait to see him go after these bunch of bible thumping hypocrites.

      •  if they went after him (0+ / 0-)

like they did Kerry, I truly believe John would instantly come back swinging. I don't think he can be easily pushed around.

    •  Another candidate of unimpeachable character (0+ / 0-)

is an obscure Northeastern Senator who's running in 2008.  He volunteered to serve in Vietnam even though he was born into a family of privilege.  In Vietnam, he won a number of medals for bravery and volunteered for all the most dangerous missions; he won the respect of all his boatmates.  He's really just a fantastic guy, and I think that if we nominated him, the Republicans would just stand down and say, "Aw, shucks, he's a Democrat but his character is so sterling!  Guess we'd better let him win."  Please consider nominating John Kerry in 2008 - He Cannot Be Swiftboated.
