    bring as many tools as you can to capture audio and video. Study agendas and learn about people in advance. Consider yourself a journalist.  Focus on the big picture, capturing exciting quotes and main points. Don't assume you can capture it all yourself. Enlist others to take notes at sessions you can't make, incorporate their perspectives. Tell people what you're trying to do.

    I had fun at yearlyKos seeking at places that others didn't seem to be covering, for example video at NM-Gov Richardson's impromptu breakfast session. Use services like http://www.blip.tv/ to publish without delay.

    Also, remember that you can't effectively real-time document and be a full participant in an event... you will have to make choices and trade-offs.
