The Federal and state governments provide health insurance for vast numbers of people, employees, former employees, elderly and poor.  To save money, only one health care insurance should be provided, rather than the multiple different and inefficient systems now in use.  Everyone from the President to the poorest medicaid recipient should participate in a vast pool with a minimum defined and paid for benefit.  People could buy additional coverage dependant on their circumstances.
this system would save a great deal of money.  Also, by tying all these groups together, it would generate support for a satisfactory minimum of coverage.  Finally, Hospitals, Doctors and Drug companies would have to bargain with the government to reduce costs.

you're saying all government employees (all state, county, federal etc) have the same health insurance?
