  •  a good fit: (4+ / 0-)

Cheney's Halliburton millions inside the Wilson's kids' college fund.

But a huge trust to help whistleblowers is equally, as teacherken says, "delicious."

I wish they would add the names of all the echo chamber players: all the commentators who called them slanderous names for the last few years. ALL of them.

    •  What damages are the Wilsons seeking? (0+ / 0-)

Any way to make it a RICO suit?  (RICO means treble damages.)

      •  In addition to standard damages plus legal fees (0+ / 0-)

they are also seeking punitive damages. Punitive is where the big money is. Legal fees generally are not awarded, but there are some exceptions.

      •  Bivens is like Civil RICO (0+ / 0-)

Cheney and the rest area being sued as individuals.  Look up Bivens to see what sort of damages were awarded to him.  However, don't look for this case to prevail as Bivens did.  That avenue got messed up in the caselaw that followed Bivens.  Watch this case go the way of Sybil Edmonds case for the same reasons they gave in hers.
