I switched from CNN (too chaotic and not instructive) to This fellow, William Polk -- who co-authored a book with George McGovern, he says, and will have more on how to get out of the Iraq quagmire come this fall -- is a sane voice:

The Birth of America: From Before Columbus to the Revolution

    William Polk

Description: In "The Birth of America," William Polk explores the history of Colonial America. He describes significant events during this period and the British influence on European, Spanish, & Dutch colonies. In addition, Mr. Polk examines colonial societies' advancements and their influence on America 's current war in Iraq. Mr. Polk compares America's early wars to our present war in Iraq. He addresses how U.S. can get out of our present war in Iraq using examples of Colonial Revolution and Vietnam. National Arts Club in New York hosted this event.

Author Bio: William Polk is also the author of "Understanding Iraq, the United States and the Arab World and the Elusive Peace."He graduated from Harvard and Oxford universities.
