The moment I gave that comment a "recommend", it disappeared for me for good. I don't know if that's a bug or super-clever programming.

Anyway, FWIW, I gave my reasons for not troll-rating it below. The basic idea was that although the tone of the comment was anti-Semitic, its content was not. I thought the benefit of preserving the rest of the thread outweighed the cost of preserving a comment that is anti-Semitic in tone. But maybe that is not my call to make, even though it is my diary.

Liberalism is the origin and center of American politics. Thus, to reject liberalism is to reject America.

as to when you see it and don't.  I can see it using the Hidden Comments option on the sidebar, and then clicking on the ratings to see the detail.  If I click on the title, I don't see it.

I'm not sure how a comment suggesting all the Jews should be expelled from Israel and then the country should be nuked can be considered anything other than trolling, but I try not to judge other people's rating philosphies and sometimes uprate bad comments myself for various reasons.  How you rate is certainly your own call to make.

Although I'm pretty sure that the commenter meant the comment in the obvious way, if you think about it it's really an anti-Arab comment, since he doesn't advocate removing them before he drops the bomb.

When I look for it that way, I can see it. But I think it makes no sense that I can't see its content (only the ratings people have given it), and as I understand it, you can't either. For one thing, I couldn't remove the 4 I gave it even if I wanted to. (Not that it matters, with 8 0's.)

I agree that taken literally, the comment is anti-Arab. And you are correct that it was meant in the obvious way: the one other comment by that poster I could find was critical of Israel.
