the whole thing? There are some reports that those killed were in a bunker. The UN's spokesman said they can't clear the rubble enough to find the two missing.

    Obviously, this wasn't a one-strike-does the job.

    •  why (0+ / 0-)

would they want to make sure they destroyed the whole thing? What difference could it possibly make? Firing 14 shots if they wanted to make it look like an accident makes absolutely no sense either, they are not that stupid are they? Let alone the fact that Israel has enough firepower to easily level ten compounds like that with one strike.

the rubble, by this New Zealand report

The UN in Lebanon says the Israeli air force destroyed the observer post, in which four military observers were sheltering.

It said the four, from Austria, Canada, China and Finland, had taken shelter in a bunker under the post after it was earlier shelled 14 times by Israeli artillery.

A rescue team was also shelled as it tried to clear the rubble.

This is very odd for an accident but also very odd for an intentional attack.
