but then I realized it was pure sarcasm.

Lieberman is going down. I still want people to throw eggs at his house every anniversary of the day he lost his senate seat.

There should be public shame for this scourge, this pariah. We should egg his house every year to commemorate his defeat.

    •  Maybe if he were a Republican, I'd agree with you (0+ / 0-)

But, Joe is at least a Democrat and votes with the Dems most of the time. I don't think that intraparty struggles should be prolonged. After the primary we need to extend olive branches, not pour salt in the wounds this primary will have opened within the party. We need the party generally united after the 2006 elections in order to aggressively take on the Bush administration's abuse of power.

Now, the day we defeat Bush, I'm all about it. His property (and effigies of him) should be egged every year after his defeat from now and unto perpetuity as an example to all future generations of Americans demonstrating what happens to Presidents who try to shred the Constitution. Such men deserve nothing but scorn.

I believe that olive branches are for those whose intentions are well meant, though possibly misplaced.

For those with intentions firmly placed on their own personal agendas, olive branches are only useful for aggressive enemas.

Lieberman, and anyone else who has actively supported the Bush agenda has an aggresive, olive-branch enema coming.

George W. is NOT an incompetent liar, he's had waaay too much practice for that. (-2.25, -2.56)
